The Bread of Fiqh no comments
Imam Ibn ‘Abidin said,
Fiqh was planted by Ibn Mas’ud, watered by ‘Alqama, harvested by Ibrahim al-Nakha’i, trampled down by Hammad, grinded by Abu Hanifa, kneaded by Abu Yusuf and made into bread by Muhammad (al-Shaybani). Thus all the people are now eating from his bread.
Imam al-Nawawi on Abbreviating the Salam no comments
Imam al-Nawawi, the great Muhaddith and Shafi’i Faqih (rahmatu Llahi ‘alayh) states in his introduction to the commentary of Sahih Muslim:
“It is praiseworthy (mustahabb) for a person writing Hadith that at the mentioning of the Messenger of Allah (salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), he writes “salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam” in full and not merely using abbreviations, and neither sufficing on one of the two, i.e. Salat and Salam.”
