Admonishing One’s Brother no comments

“To admonish your brother in private is to advise him and improve him. But to admonish him publicly is to disgrace and shame him.”

Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazzali (rahimahu Llah) said in the Kitab al-Tawba of his Ihya’,
“It is an obligation for scholars to make themselves known to the masses, to enjoin the good and forbid the evil, and grant people access to their knowledge and example.”
